Default Are there still alot of players on GW

I have GW (none of the other games Factions and Nightfall). I haven't played GW in about 2 years and I was wondering if there are alot of players still playing the original GW. Also have there been any cool enhancments / updates to GW 9and I don't mean factions and NF).

With GW2 coming out am am excited about getting back into the game and also buying factions and NF. Are there still alot of player for factions and GNF too?

With the release of GW on Steam, there has been a recent influx of people playing.

Yes and no.

GW 2010 is no where near as active as it was 2+ years ago. However, GW does have enough people left in it to still enjoy most of the content in it (keyword: 'most'; not all).

there are still quite a few playing, however, if you dont have factions or nightfall (or eye of the north????) you may find not as many in prophecies---since they are now spread out over 4 different areas.

If you're looking to getting GW2, I'd definitely suggest the other expansions as well. They help with the story if you are into the lore aspect.

As well, you can get involved in the current Hall of Monument filling in Eye of the North. The items you put into your Hall of Monuments will reward you in GW2.

There is plenty of players still playing these days. New people join every day and old players are coming back as well to get involved and refresh themselves with the game.

Depends on where you go and when.
During festivals the districts still go up to high numbers so there are certainly large numbers around then.
The rest of the time I find the American district the busiest.

Of course a lot of players are just doing their own thing farming, filling the hall of monuments etc.
Really think you will have to load it up let it update all the files and make your own judgement.
